The Plain Jane Dress

There are plenty of women who have run into this problem while standing in front of their wardrobe. There you are looking at that dress that has no sparkle, no glitter, and no color. You by pass it all the time because you simply cant find anything to spruce it up.

Fortunately for you, you can stop looking over that plain Jane dress because there are plenty of ways to dress it up (no pun intended :-D). One of my favorite ways to spruce up my plain duds is by accesorizing. No, that does not mean to wear ever piece of jewelry you own and every necklace you can find. The accessories should be more subtle and not look like you’re over doing it.

If you look below, you can see that I have on layered necklaces and two small bracelets. I also chose a large studded earring with a pop of color instead of a long earring. When you already have so much going on around your neck, there is no need to go over board with your earrings. You can also see that instead of tying my scarf around my neck, I opted to tie it around my waist. This gives the dress more of a unique look. If the scarf isn’t your style, try wearing a belt. That accessory never gets old. Shoes that are bold in color can also give your dress more character. If they’re bold enough, you may not even need to accessorize too much.

Now that you have an idea of how you can give your dress more style, take a look in your closet and transform that plain Jane dress into a fabulous one!
