Eat Your Exfoliant

Last night I was in desperate need to exfoliate my face and lips, but I failed to buy my usual scrub from the store. It was too late to leave the house so I created my own! All of my ingredients were found in my kitchen cabinet and it was natural enough to eat (although I wouldn’t recommend it). Take a look at my simple ingredients for my exfoliating scrub below!

What you need:
1. 2 tablespoons of Extra Virgin Olive Oil
2. 2 drops of tea tree oil
3. 2 tablespoons of salt
4. 1 teaspoon of sugar

Mix the ingredients together until you have a paste. It should not be runny. Massage the scrub onto you face and lips for one minute. Rinse your face with warm water, then again with cool water. To remove excess oil, wash your face with you favorite cleanser. Make sure you moisturize after! Your skin will be baby soft.

Note: if you have dry skin, use sugar only.

I love homemade exfoliants, especially for the lips, and the addition of tea tree oil is really clever – very cooling and nourishing! I will have to give this a try!
