The Ghana native came to Maryland 11 years ago and settled on Johns Hopkins Medical School to pursue her dream of becoming a neurosurgeon. She will be the first physician in her family.

Nancy hopes to provide medical care to underserved communities. She also desires to go back to her homeland and help build a sustainable surgical infrastructure.

“I want to be remembered for serving my community, whether it is through providing quality surgical care or helping mentor the next generation of surgeons” – Nancy Abu-Bonsrah (HopkinsMedicine.org)

Congrats Nancy, looking forward to watching you break down barriers in the medical field.
